Tbilisi Household Survey and Transport Model Update

Sponsored by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) under the Livable Cities Investment Program, this project focuses on updating the Tbilisi transport demand model through comprehensive data collection. The assignment includes updating the 2016 Household Survey (HHS), enhancing data collection methodologies, and introducing new zonal definitions to better capture the city’s diverse travel patterns. Additional tasks include manual data collection related to public transport operations, creating GIS-based maps, and revising the transport demand model. 

This project aims to support evidence-based urban mobility planning and policy-making for Tbilisi, ensuring more sustainable and efficient transportation solutions. Capacity-building activities, including training sessions, are also integral to this initiative, ensuring local authorities can utilize and maintain the updated model effectively.
